About the NDIS

Inclusion Plus Family Support is a registered NDIS Service Provider. The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a new way of providing support for eligible people with a significant and permanent disability that offers more choice and control over your supports.

Under the NDIS, funding is allocated to individuals in line with their NDIS Plan, in order for them to achieve positive outcomes by purchasing necessary services or products to help you achieve their goals.

How Can I Access the NDIS?

The NDIS is managed by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). The NDIA makes decisions about who can access the NDIS based on the information you provide about your disability and how it impacts on your day-to-day life. Further details are available on the NDIS website www.ndis.gov.au

If you think you meet the criteria, you can apply to the NDIS for funds. If you are assessed as eligible, the NDIS will help you develop a NDIS Plan that is based on your personal goals and support needs.

Managing Your NDIS

Once you have been approved for NDIS funding, you have the option to choose how your plan is managed. This may be by one of the following options or a combination of them.

Agency Management

The NDIS can hold the funds and your service providers submit a claim for payment directly to them.

Self Management

You are responsible for engaging providers for necessary services, paying their invoices and acquitting funding to the NDIS via the NDIS portal.

Plan Management 

You can appoint a Plan Manager, approved by the NDIS to manage your NDIS funding.

Support Coordination

There are three tiers of Support Coordination available to suit your individual requirements:

Support connection

Short-term assistance to source providers to meet your needs and participate independently in your NDIA plan.

Coordination of supports

Capacity building to connect and coordinate your supports from a range of sources and in a complex service delivery environment. This is available throughout the duration of your plan.

Specialist support coordination

Specialist supports for more complex situations.

Our team of coordinators will work with you, your family and your support network in order to help you reach the goals you set out in your NDIS planning session.
